Attention Classic Arts Showcase Video Service Providers, On June 1, 2013, the Classic Arts Showcase satellite distribution feed will transition to digital. Digital SDTV and HDTV program feeds will be available to Video Service Providers.

CLASSIC ARTS SHOWCASE VIEWERS WILL SEE NO INTERRUPTION IN THEIR SERVICE.

Digital Transition Information
Beginning on June 1, 2013, Classic Arts Showcase will transmit digitally for its SDTV and new HDTV program feeds. The current analog transmission will be discontinued as of June 1, 2013. Providers should transition from analog to digital by this date.

Outlined below are specifications for the SDTV and HDTV program feeds. Both the SDTV and HDTV program feeds will be compressed using Cisco compression technology. The SDTV program feed will utilize MPEG-2 technology, while the HDTV program feed will utilize MPEG-4 technology. Classic Arts Showcase affiliates will be responsible for the provision of their own IRD acquisition.
